Although the 61-year-old actress’s sparkling Dolce & Gabbana column dress was as glamorous as any and her Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Limited Series acceptance speech (for her role as Tanya in The White Lotus) was as endearing and relatable as they come, it was actually a more spontaneous moment during the evening that truly brought happy tears to our eyes.

And that period? Irish hottie Colin Farrell leaped out of his chair to extend an arm to Coolidge and assist her in getting to the Golden Globes stage where she would accept her trophy.
Farrell was observed leaping up from a neighbouring table when the theme song from The White Lotus played over the tannoy and extending his right arm for Coolidge to grab onto. She responds with her trademark pout and shuffles through the other tables to the stage while holding her skirt above her feet with one arm and the 46-year-old Banshees of Inisherin actress’ hand in the other.
She may be seen mouthing something to Farrell as she ascends the stairs, which has the internet frantically trying to lip read. We can only speculate, After Farrell acknowledges that he brought her there without incident, she says, “Thanks to you!”
