The television series Mayor of Kingstown, which debuted on Sunday, stars Jeremy Renner as Mike McLusky. The actor is still recovering from a snowplough accident that occurred on January 1.
The long-awaited second season of Mayor of Kingstown is now available.
As the series’ star Jeremy Renner continues to recover from a snowplough accident that left him in “serious but stable condition,” the first episode of season two debuted on Sunday.
Since the series’ launch in November 2021, Renner, 51, has played Mike McLusky, a family of power brokers in Kingstown, Michigan, where the sole growing industry is the business of incarceration.
The first episode was inspired by Renner’s airlift to the hospital following a snowplough accident on his farm in Reno, Nevada, in which he suffered serious chest damage and orthopaedic injuries. He had surgery on January 2 and was in a critical but stable condition at the time, staying in the intensive care unit.
On Jan. 3, an agent informed PEOPLE that Renner was “On Sunday, he cleared snow from his driveway so that his family could leave after spending New Year’s together. Additionally, he was assisting his neighbour with snow removal because everyone up there had been without power for 24 hours and there had been a significant amount of snowfall.”
He was assisting everyone in attempting to clear the snow so that people could exit, they continued.
